In my 6 or 7 years of buying and selling LED watches, I have found that some of the broken ones can actually be fixed. I have opened Pulsars where everything inside was a fine powder, or some were super clean but still dead.
I have learned many things from an old friend, you know who you are, but, I have taken it a bit further, from wire bonds, to display transfers, to an actual chip transfer, although I am still learning.
If you have a P4 Executive,Bigtime,or a Dress watch missing segments, most often it may be the wire bonds, or it can be the display. I have just discovered that some P2 and P3 modules can show a ghost display, where your number should be a 4 but looks like a 8. Ever see that? I am about 98% sure I have found a way to fix this.
Now, my prices will be very reasonable. I charge nothing if the watch cant be fixed. If it takes me days to figure out it can't be repaired then you pay nothing, only pay the shipping to me and back to you.
Here are some of my prices:
- Timing crystal replacement for all Pulsars - $25.00
- Reed switches - $15.00
- Display Transfer P2 - P3 - $75.00
- Display Transfer P4 - $ 85.00
- 1 Wire Bond Repair P4 - $100.00 each (additional wire bond is $10.00) NOTE: this is very time consuming and alot of work is required to get at the bonds. This is why it's $100.00 for the 1st bond. Once the first one is complete, the others are far easier to accomplish. I have found that fixing up to 3 wire bonds is idea... any more then that and there's alot of battery acid damage.
Everything is subject to the supply of parts, and my time. Do not send me 5 modules and expect them back in 3 days. I have fixed a many P2-P3-P4 modules and can give references.
